We’re delighted to announce the launch of a brand new range of wines, brought to you by iconic British chef, James Martin. For the renowned chef, food and wine go hand in hand, a combination which is to him, yet to be rivalled. For some years he has been inspired by both a combination of trips to France with his father, where he experienced some of the best food and wine pairings you could possibly taste and early childhood memories of traditional cooking in Yorkshire. From this he has become a much beloved chef across the nation and is now recognised as not only a successful chef, but as an author and TV presenter too.

His passion for combining food and wine has been close to his heart for many years, and so it seemed fitting that he collaborate with a classic French vineyard to create his very own collection of wines. Brand new and exclusive online to Vinohero, come James Martin’s Chardonnay Marsanne and a Syrah.  Both wines come with a bespoke recipe, created specifically by James to pair with each bottle.

The Chardonnay Marsanne, produced near Narbonne in the beautiful Languedoc, works a treat with his recipe for Turbot on the bone, with cauliflower puree, asparagus and white wine cream. The buttery notes and well balanced, fresh finish of this chardonnay makes it a perfect companion for fish dishes! Similarly, the Syrah – also produced in the Languedoc – has a beautiful finesse of sweet spices and rich aromas of truffle and coffee, finished with red fruit notes for a long finish. To pair, James has created a braised meatballs, with mash cider sauce and apple recipe. To celebrate International Chef’s Day, you can watch the full recipe videos here, or both wines come complete with a dedicated neck hanger with the specialty featured recipes. Or, why not try the wines for yourself to see what they go best with? Available here.
