In stock

Only 15,000 bottles of this wine have been produced by Bodegas Familia Chavarri who is one of the oldest wineries in Rioja. The grapes are grown in one of the most premium parts of the area called Rioja Alavesa.  This wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels followed by 18 months in bottle.

Dark cherry red, deep and bright. Red fruit, black cherry and cedar on the nose, with a velvety finish and notes of sweet spice and tobacco coming through. Serve with slow-cooked lamb, suckling pig and hard cheeses.
